Isn't it amazing how much stuff you've accumulated? Stuff you may not use or even want anymore, taking up precious space in drawers, closets, garages. Stuff that's maybe not even working. . . watches, the dressy shoes that really hurt, wallets, purses, glasses, gloves, hats (who wears hats in LA? (hat boxes), jewelry that's suddenly gotten really tacky, rings, even broken jewelry, love beads, platform shoes, dress shoes, boots, cowboy boots, English riding boots, (the rubber ones, too) girdles, black socks, stockings, handkerchiefs, dress shirts, suits, cufflinks, tie bars, bathrobes, bathing suits, feathers, overcoats; are you or do you have a relative or neighbor in military or law enforcement or medicine, WE COULD USE all kinds of uniforms and all the accessories
. . . and HANGERS
Wooden, suit hangers, padded hangers,
the kind with clips for skirts or pants, . . .
And then there's all the stuff the Scene Shop could put to good use. . . rugs, table linens, silverware, servingware (punch bowls & ladles? ) bed linens, blankets, lap robes, towels, bar ware, musical instruments, athletic equipment, old furniture (pre 1970), even stuff that's damaged or rickety but could be stage worthy with a brace and refinishing or upholstery... Well, the point is, why not donate some of this stuff to the Academy, which could really use it, free up some closet / garage space and get a tax donation letter to boot? Such a deal!
